Founded in 1974 in Portland, Oregon, when Pete Kershaw left Gerber Knives to form his own knife company, Kershaw Knives has had only one simple mission: to design and manufacture knives and multi-tools that knife enthusiats would be proud to own, carry, and use. To ensure a lifetime of performance needs, Kershaw Knives developed state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques along with extremely tight tolerances. Ken Onion designs a custom selection of knives for Kershaw. Many of Ken Onion knives features a patented SpeedSafe® torsion bar system for assisted opening. Ken's personal involvment throughout the design and manufacturing process ensures that each knife that Ken makes ensures that each knife meets his very strict standars for perforance and quality.
